The Sunset

The Sunset is a twintstick rock opera! A sorcerer prince is fighting back the hordes of monsters using an area bomb or a beam of energy. When he’s being damages, the sun begins to set, and if it sets the game is over. The player must survive through each song, in a rock opera that tells the story of the sorcerer’s downfall, guilt, and redemption.

The Sunset is a concept Joe and I have co-designed and produced into a preview build. I’ve maintained work progress, set our milestones, got us in Art of Play 3, contributed to design, and work with Larry on the art (such as the night transition of the background, the current sorcerer attack and animation, making spritesheets from Larry’s animations of the hero, and other art-to-game transitional work).

It’s first showing was in “Art of Play 3″, at Columbia College Chicago.

It’s second showing was at our debut Manifest! showing, in the Hokin Gallery, at Columbia College Chicago.
