Bamf!

And that’s about it!

You’ll see the Games section is now appropriately slick, with thumbnails for each of the games, linking to a page with some info on it and a gallery of a few shots. There’s still a few designs without pictures, but I’ll fix that soon enough, when I have some time to make something for ‘em.

I’m hoping to talk more openly about some design ideas here, complete with illustrations or, if I can find a way to make em thats not too time-intensive, I’d love to start developing some little playable prototypes.

Meanwhile, enjoy some lovely pixel art on the NetGAIN page, in the form of some mock-ups I’ve been creating for the “Scenes”. We  hope to talk more about this project soon!

Pardon the dust…

In case you hadn’t noticed, I’ve put up a whole load of galleries full of drawings and screenshots full of my work.

If you hadn’t noticed, you certainly wont now: They’re all gone! I’m currently upgrading to a brand new gallery which should make it easier for me to upload and track content on the site (which in turn means more frequent updates for you)!

For an example of the new shiny, here’s the Sir Tet gallery. I’ll put up a new post when all the content’s back, and introduce some new stuff I’ve been working on.

Till then, my friends…

GDC to begin!

I’m sitting here at 3am, and I have to be up at 7:30 am to get to GDC and get my pass and get in by 9am to see the Peter Molyneux to begin a long long day at the GDC.

And since I’ll be carousing and card-dealing throughout the event (I hope!), I’ve given my portfolio a boost. It’s been taking way longer than I thought it would, mostly because I forgot how many other little game projects I worked on that I should put up here, and the constant back and forth of  ”what picture should I put in, what picture should I not?”

Well, it’s up. I’m leaving the writing, the soundwork, and a few games out for now… but I’ll probably update with those all soon enough.

You can also expect more action on here, as well. I’m going to be using this as a sort of meandering design journal, not like the little moleskine I keep next to my heart, but something that’ll jump between analysis and rampant curiosity.

Stay tuned, brothers and sisters.

LZG and JG Finally Getting Some Love!

After a long long time of simple front pages, levelzerogames.com and johngosling.com are finally getting content that they so desperately need!

Blogs for both LZG and JG (hopefully we’ll find a way to easily cross-post if needed), adding the pictures and work for JG, fixing the forum for LZG, and adding the games and work done so far to LZG.

Now if I could just figure out how I want the pages to look…
